Chinmaya Mission Phoenix or Chinmaya Goloka, a name bestowed by Pujya Guruji Swami
Tejomayananda was blessed indeed to be the third member of Chinmaya Mission West to host the
Chinmaya Amrit Yatra – honoring the past 75 years of Chinmaya Mission and the vision of Pujya
Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, while recommitting to the timeless values of knowledge, service, and spiritual growth.
As the Yatra moves from center to center, each location becomes a vibrant space for reflection, learning, and gratitude, offering satsangs, chanting, cultural presentations, seva activities, and community gatherings.
One Yatra, One Vision, One Chinmaya Family.
While described as a Yatra – journey – the true destination was not a distant place on a map. Instead, it was an inward pilgrimage: a collective effort to turn our attention, thoughts, and devotion back to our own hearts, where the Divine eternally resides.
A Week of Reflection, Learning, and Celebration
The Yatra commenced at Chinmaya Goloka on Sunday, January 18th, with a screening of the inspiring film ‘On a Quest.’ The congregation of Chinmaya Goloka gathered to immerse themselves in the life story of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. The film offered a moving portrayal of Guruji’s courage, conviction, and tireless dedication to spreading Vedantic wisdom, leaving viewers with renewed admiration and gratitude.
On Monday January 19th, the spirit of engagement continued with a lively virtual Game Night. Participants of all ages tested their knowledge of Vedanta in a fun and interactive setting, blending learning with laughter and friendly competition.
Tuesday January 20th brought a Virtual Satsang with Brahmacharini Sandhyaji from Chinmaya Mission Los Angeles. Drawing inspiration from Hanumanji’s unwavering devotion, attendees were encouraged to dedicate every aspect of their lives to selfless service of the Lord. The session was both uplifting and deeply reflective.
Midweek (Wednesday January 21st), members gathered for an interactive reflection session inspired by On a Quest. Participants shared personal insights drawn from Guruji’s life and teachings. The evening also featured an engaging gameshow centered on key milestones from the film, fostering camaraderie while deepening collective understanding.
In-Person Grace and Wisdom
The Yatra at Chinmaya Goloka then transitioned back to in-person events as we were graced by the
presence of Pujya Swami Ishwarananda. Over Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (January 22nd, 23rd and 24th), Swamiji conducted a Jnana Yagna, illuminating the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita through the verses of Gita Panchamrit.
The Gita Panchamrit is a daily sadhana of learning, chanting, and reflecting on five carefully chosen verses from the Bhagavad Gita. Though drawn from different chapters, these shlokas together offer a complete spiritual path, guiding the seeker from self-effort to surrender and from purposeful action to inner freedom. This initiative welcomes everyone, regardless of background, to absorb the Gita’s essence, live its wisdom, and share its light. Through simple and consistent practice, it becomes a source of strength, clarity, and connection in daily life.
With characteristic humility, simplicity, and gentle humor, Swamiji unfolded profound truths in a way that touched every heart. In his presence and through the shared Satsang, attendees experienced a renewed sense of peace and clarity.
Saturday, January 24th marked the sacred Guru Paduka Puja, honoring the eternal knowledge made accessible through Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s life of service. The ceremony was a heartfelt tribute- not only to Gurdev’s legacy, but also to the living tradition that continues to guide seekers around the world. The puja concluded with a vibrant celebration of devotion through Bhajan Clubbing. Voices rose in joyful praise, and the community celebrated together as one united Chinmaya family – expressing gratitude through music, movement, and shared devotion.

Carrying the Nectar Forward
The Yatra concluded on January 25th with a final reflection on the Gita Panchamrit. While seventy-five years marks a significant milestone in the history of the Chinmaya Movement, in the context of the eternal Truth it teaches, this celebration feels like just the beginning.
As the sacred echoes of the Amrit Mahotsav Yatra gently settle into memory, what remains is not simply the remembrance of events – but a deepened resolve. The week at Chinmaya Goloka was more than a celebration of seventy-five years; it was a reminder that the Chinmaya Movement lives wherever knowledge is studied, wherever service is offered, and wherever devotion is expressed with sincerity. From reflection to revelation, from learning to laughter, from chanting to quiet contemplation, each gathering strengthened the bonds of our Chinmaya family. The teachings of Pujya Gurudev continue to illuminate hearts, reminding us that the true Yatra is always inward – toward clarity, compassion, and unwavering faith.
Chinmaya Goloka is now gearing up for another grand and historic event at its home in Phoenix with a Murti Sthapana of Bhagavan RadhaKrishna, Bhagavan Shiva, Bhagavan Ganesha and Bhagavan Hanuman on March 29, 2026. Followed by this we continue another aspect of the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav by hosting the 108 Samshti Hanuman Chalisa Havan.
As we now look ahead, the momentum of the Amrit Mahotsav carries forward with renewed enthusiasm and gratitude. The celebration may move from center to center, from event to event, but its essence remains constant: to live the wisdom, to serve with humility, and to recognize the Divine presence within and around us.

The journey continues- not on distant roads, but in the quiet sanctum of our own hearts.
